BazaarBee operates a scheduled grocery e-commerce platform in Rangpur, Bangladesh. We protect customer privacy by strictly limiting data collection to what is necessary for order fulfillment, GPS delivery routing, and account security.
1. Information We Collect
- Mobile Phone Number: Used as your unique identifier for passwordless, secure SMS OTP authentication and order updates.
- Precise GPS & Geolocation Data: With your device permission, we collect real-time latitude, longitude coordinates, and geohashes when you set a map pin or use location services. This is used exclusively to verify delivery zone eligibility and guide riders accurately to your address in Rangpur.
- Delivery Address Details: Customer-provided Ward, Mahalla, Road/House numbers, recipient contact numbers, and delivery landmark notes.
- Order & App Preferences: Order history, selected delivery slot preferences, coupon redemptions, and client-side preferences (such as theme and haptic touch).
- Zero Financial Data Collection: BazaarBee operates exclusively on Cash on Delivery (COD). We never collect, store, or process debit/credit card numbers, bank passwords, or MFS wallet PINs.
2. Purpose and Usage of Data
- To authenticate user sessions safely via one-time passwords (SMS OTP).
- To calculate accurate delivery zone fees and ensure same-day slot delivery to your exact doorstep.
- To send essential transactional SMS alerts, slot reminders, and live order tracking updates.
- To provide responsive customer support and resolve order queries.
3. Data Protection & Non-Disclosure
- We do not sell, rent, monetize, or trade customer personal information with any third-party advertisers or marketing agencies.
- Data access is restricted internally via Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and shared only with essential technical infrastructure partners (BTRC-licensed SMS aggregators for OTPs and Appwrite Cloud secure backend).
4. Customer Data Rights & Retention
- Customer address records and preferences remain accessible in your account profile for convenient future ordering.
- Customers hold full rights to view, update, or request permanent deletion of their account records by contacting our customer care team.
